Since graduating with a 1st class honours in Ceramics from Camberwell College of art in 2006, Emma Fenelon has worked from her studio in Peckham. Her childhood seeped espionage, and travel continues to provide stories for her work

Her work explores the balance of things; light and dark, hidden and revealed, internal and external. The sculptures are often set off by shadows, holding depths and mystery. At times both votive and liminal, it explores the act of dwelling, of inhabiting. The towers stand in for us, connecting us to place, to story, to possibility and to ourselves
