The work is hand built from soft sheets of Stoneware clay and is individual within a series of sculptures on a similar theme. 
 
The surface of the sculptures is impressed and inlaid with oxides and painted with underglaze paints and are glazed either in a clear glaze or a softer matt one. After this they are fired in my gas kilns to stoneware 1260C.
 
In a third process Gold lustres are applied and then they are refired to 750C
